About us

Uganda Faith Writers Association is an indigenous, non-government, non-profit making organization. It was formed in 2008, (Reg. No. S. 5914/7926) with a vision to empower people to use writing as a skill to examine and record their faith walk and contribute to the availability of Ugandan faith based literature. The importance of this is to be able to spread the gospel through the written word and to inspire people through Christian stories, articles and other forms of writing

The association Board of Governors is composed of four people two of whom are church leaders. They are: Rev. Medad Birungi (All Saints Church, Kampala; Rev. Micheal Mukhwana (St. John’s Church); Lillian Tindyebwa (Christian writer); Kituyi Betty (Christian writer).

The managerial team is made of the executive director and a coordinator. (Ms Lillian Tindyebwa and Ms Kituyi Betty). At the moment the members of the managerial team do this work as a part of Ministry and are volunteering.

The association has a number of activities:
